CCSD Food Service is now hiring!
The Clark County School District (CCSD) is seeking a Food Service Facilities, Equipment, and Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of our central food production facility, school-based kitchen sites, and cold storage ammonia refrigeration plant. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and supervise staff and operations across a large distribution warehouse, centralized food packaging facility, steam plant, and industrial refrigeration system.
Key responsibilities include:
Safety & Compliance: Managing full compliance with the District's Process Safety Management (PSM) of Highly Hazardous Materials for Ammonia Refrigeration, leading incident investigations, and partnering with regulatory agencies like the EPA, OSHA, and NDEP.
Facility & Equipment Oversight: Overseeing the preventative maintenance and care of central kitchen production equipment (such as industrial mixers, rotary ovens, and high-speed packaging lines), warehouse facilities, and satellite school kitchen equipment.
Staff Supervision: Leading maintenance employees, establishing work priorities, and ensuring staff receive proper training in job safety, HACCP, food safety, and lockout/tagout procedures.
Procurement & Project Planning: Specifying and procuring new or replacement equipment and collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors on facility improvement projects.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Education & Experience
- High school graduation or equivalent (e.g., GED).
- An Associate’s Degree in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technologies.
- Seven (7) years of technical training and experience in an industrial maintenance field (such as the operation and maintenance of ammonia/Freon refrigeration systems, steam generation, kitchen equipment, compressed air systems, or food handling conveyor systems).
Licenses & Certifications
Driver's License: A valid Nevada driver's license and a clean DMV driving history (dated within 6 months).
Technical Certifications: An Industrial Refrigeration Certification for ammonia refrigeration systems.
Health & Safety: A valid Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) Food Handler Safety Training Card.
First Aid/CPR: Current in-person CPR/AED and First Aid certificates (or must be obtained within 1 month of hire).
Equipment Operations: Aerial Work Platform certification and a forklift qualification card (both must be possessed or obtained within 5 months of hire).
