We are seeking an HVAC Technician in the Plant Maintenance department who will perform maintenance and repairs to a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, gas and electric heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, hot water heaters, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, package systems, split systems, flame safeguards, air compressors, air driers, vacuum systems.
Requirements
Requirements: Graduation from high school or GED with two years combination of education and training and two years experience working with refrigeration equipment at a Technician level providing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to commercial/industrial equipment. Training in the following specialized subject areas is required: heating and air conditioning theory, electric controls, AC/DC voltage, analogue and digital electronics, and the operation and maintenance of all aspects of the commercial/industrial HVAC trade. Ability to obtain a Virginia state HVAC Journeyman’s license or higher within 2 years.
