We are looking for a Robotics or Instrumentation Electrical Engineer who has experience with embedded systems development, controls, motor controls, electro-mechanical integration, and sensor applications.

Requirements

Required Experience:

  • BSEE in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 5+ years experience in motor controls/automation, thermal control and actuator control.
  • Experience with various motor types including steppers, servos, dc motors and related encoder sensing topologies.
  • Experience with Peltier thermal control using H-bridges
  • Experience with communication protocols such as RS485, USB, ETHERNET, I2C, SPI
  • Cable design experience for motion
  • Provide basic guidance for PCB layout engineers
  • Microcontroller design experience
  • Hands-on system bring-up and integration with a cross functional team
  • Capable of troubleshooting and utilizing bench equipment and measurement techniques.
  • Candidate must be located in Boston, MA area
  • Schematic design in Altium Designer preferred

Bonus Experience Areas:

  • Board layout using Altium Designer
  • Basic firmware development embedded applications
  • ME CAD collaboration
  • High vibration experience, high reliability cable experience, environmental design practices, and electronics safety standards
